The top Oscar's film nominations of 2017
It’s undoubtedly the biggest night of awards season for hundreds of talented actors, directors, screenwriters and costume designers all over Hollywood, with this year's line-up promising to be as big as the last.
And while many of us love to swoon over the ball gowns and playfully critique some of the outfit choices on the red carpet, watching the Academy Awards, or The Oscars, is all about discovering and appreciating some of the year's top films.
The 2017 line-up includes some obvious choices, with industry favourites La La Land and Lion amongst the list competing for the top spot. Some of the other films nominated for 'Best Picture' include Arrival, Hacksaw Ridge and Manchester by the Sea.

The cast and crew of La La Land are hot favourites after winning big at DGA awards.
Along with the top prize for 'Best Picture', awards are being given for actors and actresses in leading and supporting roles, screen-writing, cinematography, costume design, direction and animation. There are also Oscars for music production, documentaries, visual effects and editing.
