School holidays movies for kids

School's out, but the sun isn't - which means it's all about entertaining your kids indoors over the break. Luckily, BigPond Movies have just released a heap of brand new films fresh from the cinema to help keep your little ones happy.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
If you grew up watching the animated Disney classic and want to share some of the magic with your little ones, the recently released adaption of Beauty and the Beast is one film worth watching these school holidays.
The film tells the tale about a young woman whose father has been imprisoned by a terrifying beast, so she offers herself in his place. Unaware that her captor is actually a prince physically altered by a spell, the girl begins to fall for the beast - and quickly realises that true beauty is more than what you see.


POWER RANGERS
Based on the original children's superhero series from the 90's, this real-life action film follows five ordinary teens that are forced to become something extraordinary when they learn that their town - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat.
Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it's too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE
This fun-filled adventure film follows the lego characters your kids know and love, based on the famous superhero character you grew up watching.
In the modern version of the classic tale, here are big changes brewing in Gotham city. And if Batman wants to save the city from The Joker's hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing. try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.


THE BOSS BABY
This hilariously universal story tells the story about how a new baby (voiced brilliantly by Alec Baldwin) arrives in a taxi, carrying a briefcase, and changes one family's life forever.
Told from the from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a very imaginative 7-year-old named Tim, this film follows all the madness that follows the arrival of this mischeivious little man.

SMIRFS: THE LOST VILLAGE
